David J. Baziak

A former police officer, undercover agent and claims examiner/house counsel, David Baziak founded the firm in 1976 with a desire to provide the best representation possible for injured workers and their families. He has won numerous accolades and awards in 40+ years of specializing in workers' compensation law.

He lectures to various groups including unions, employers, insurance adjusters and city risk managers. He has achieved numerous structured settlements for his clients. In recognition of his relentless efforts on behalf of injured workers, he was admitted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum whose membership is limited to lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill, experience and excellence in advocacy by achieving a trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more. In addition, David J. Baziak is listed in the Martindale-Hubble Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, which recognizes attorneys with the "Highest Possible Peer Review Rating in Legal and Ethical Standards".

His undergraduate education was at East Los Angeles College and Los Angeles State College. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the Orange County Bar Association and is a sustaining member of the California Applicants' Attorneys Association. He has served as Judge Pro Tempore at the State of California Division of Industrial Relations Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. He has been selected by his peers as one of the "Best Lawyers in America" multiple times. He is also featured in Orange Coast Magazine as one of "Orange County's Best Lawyers" in the field of Workers' Compensation Law.

David Baziak has a unique understanding and expertise in his chosen field as he began his career working as a workers' compensation claims examiner and as an attorney representing insurance companies. In 1974 he decided to represent injured workers exclusively, as he felt they needed sympathetic, compassionate and dedicated legal representation. With the drastic changes in California's workers' compensation laws in 2004, he feels it is vitally important, now more than ever, and continues his efforts on behalf of injured workers.
